I was born and raised in Carbondale PA, and in 2001 finally moved south. Just couldn't take the winters of the north anymore. I have 3 daughters, and a son, all grown now, and 3 precious granddaughters. My real name is Esther and have been given the name Moddie by my granddaughter. interestsI love doing needlework, mostly blackwork or embroidery. But I still enjoy looking at any kind of needlework that I come across. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about where they come from and I like to travel to places where I have never been.
favorite musicI love gospel, classic country, 50's-60's doo wop, and also enjoy the music of Kenny G. My favorite singers are Patsy Cline and George Strait. Another one of my favorite singers is the late Carl Kennedy, lead singer, lead guitarist from his band, "Carl Kennedy And The Country Kings" back in the 70's. Years later in the late 90's, Carl and I sang "Keeper Of The Stars" a few times as a duet and so it became "our" song. Carl will always have a special place in my heart and he will always be my best friend.
favorite tv showsHave to say I don't watch much tv, but I do enjoy Simply Quilts with Alex Anderson, and of course, I like Carol Duvall and her crafting show.
favorite moviesNot much of a movie buff, but I do like Mel Gibson, Kevin Costner, and Jimmy Stuart. I guess I should say as long as I am into the movie part, I was an extra in a movie that was filmed in the fall of 1984 in north-east PA. I was in a scene and was standing right next to Marisa Tomei. The movie "Playing For Keeps". I would love to do another one some time if I ever get the chance.
favorite gamesNo favorites in games, but I like baseball, bowling, and darts.
favorite booksEnjoy reading the Bible. I love anything that has to do with needlework. I get alot of my inspiration just looking at the pictures in them and my brain starts in motion telling me - I can do that in my own style.
